Friendsgiving and Thanksgiving are two of the most meaningful times of the year. They’re a time to reconnect with friends and family, and enjoy each other’s company.
Express Gratitude
It’s also a time for reflection on what we’re thankful for. We’re thankful for our friends—and for you!
This is the perfect time to take some time for yourself and treat your body like a temple. Whether you’re looking to indulge in a massage or try new yoga classes, this is the perfect time of year for self-care and mindfulness.
Taking Care of You
Whether you choose to spend Thanksgiving with friends or family, it’s important to carve out some time for yourself so that you can focus on what matters most: YOU! Show up for yourself and you can easier show up for others.
Why not start off by booking a relaxing massage? There’s nothing quite like being pampered by someone else while they work out all those kinks in your muscles. But if massages aren’t really your thing, why not try something new? Why not try yoga? Maybe consider signing up for an adult coloring class? Or even just taking some time for yourself at home with a cup of tea and good book.
It doesn’t matter how you spend it—what matters is that we all take some time out of our busy lives so that we can be present and aware of ourselves and our surroundings during Friendsgiving and Thanksgiving.
Gifting to Charities During the Holidays
It’s also an opportunity to give back to the community. Nothing feels better than helping others. You can provide meals for families in need by sponsoring a Friendsgiving dinner for two or more people at a local homeless shelter or make sure to give leftovers to someone in need.
It’s also a good time to clear out the closet and share that clothing with a family in need. At times, its good to use a charity to do this but if you know a family, it’s best to give directly. They will surely appreciate it.
